Kohima, May 28 (NE): Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) in its maiden visit to Ganeshnagar Quarantine Centre (GQC) Dimapur, being managed by Nagaland Police, expressed astonishment to see Police personnel sweating and toiling for setting up the QC led by Aotemsu, DIG, Training, overall in-charge of the quarantine centre.
In a press release by DNSU Media Cell, May 28, 2020, the Union expressed gratitude to all the officers and jawans for working beyond measure to accommodate 1000 plus returnees in a very limited time. The DNSU also saluted the frontline workers.
DNSU physically verified and lauded the Nagaland Police personnel to see such a great transformation of the QC in a small time frame. The officers present there also highlighted their initiatives, concern and appreciated the presence of DNSU officials.
The Union urged the government to immediately set up the testing lab for COVID-19 without further delay in Dimapur and to deploy more front line workers to assist the existing ones.
The Union was accompanied by the Chairman of Ganeshnagar and centre incharge, who took the team around and showed their work progress. DNSU also acknowledged the presence of T. John Longkumer, IPS, DGP Nagaland for being in the field and boosting the moral of all ranks and files.
