DNSU supports JCPI demand to table Banuo's commission report on RIIN into an Act.

Dimapur, February 11 (NEx): Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU) extends its unflinching support towards the demand of the Joint Committee for Prevention of Illegal Immigrants (JCPI) to table Banuo’s Commission report on Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN) into an Act in the upcoming Nagaland Legislative Assembly commencing from February 12th, 2021 without fail, and to regulate the said RIIN with December 1st, 1963 inclusive of Dimapur District as the cutoff year.

The union in a press release affirmed that it stands as per the decision and demand of the JCPI & CSOs and reminded the state government that the state is polluted with influx of illegal immigrants and the citizens have lost its patience.

The DNSU appealed the state government to stop refusing and confusing its people and to put more effort as an elective representative and asserted that RIIN must be implemented without any delay.

Further, the union stated that on failure in the part of the government to comply with the genuine plea of the citizens, the union is ever ready to extend its full support with any democratic protest of the JCPI.
