Dimapur, February 13 (NE): The Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU) appeals the Government of Nagaland to justify the extra recruits under Nagaland Police to be trained at Nagaland Armed Police Training Centre (NAPTC), Chumukedima under Dimapur district scheduled to begin from February 14.
A press release by media cell DNSU on February 13, 2020, strongly questions the concern Department as how and where the extra 994 posts were selected to undergo training whereas only 206 post vacancies were published. As per advertisement dated August 3, 2019, 206 vacant post was published and on December 9, 2019, the final Police recruitment examination result was out with 225 candidates declared qualified including waiting list candidates in total, it added.
The union questions the concern department that at a time where there is lack of job avenue and opportunities with thousands of educated Nagas being unemployed, such practice is totally untoward and DNSU will not remain a silent spectator. We will go to any extreme extent till justice is served and open free and fair recruitment is held, they added.
Nagalandexpress published a breaking news on February Twelve stating that current training at NAPTC is being kept on hold till further notification to be provided by the Government.
It is important to note that various organizations has also been pressuring the Government to hold the current Nagaland Police training program until it comes out with adequate answers.
