Kohima, April 12 (NEx): Tuensang District Task Force for COVID-19 had a meeting at DC Conference Hall Tuensang on Monday, April 12th, 2021. The meeting was chaired by DC and Chairman DTF Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS.
DTF members discussed on reviving the check gate at 3rd NAP Check post to collect the travel history and bio data for contact tracing purposes. The members agreed to go for a massive awareness drive for COVID behaviours to contain the pandemic and tribal leaders, ward leaders and COC-I are given responsibility for the same.
The task force also discussed on COVID vaccination drive, where all the PHC and CHC are to be activated and further decided to host a vaccination Mela at Tuensang Town Hall on 13th and 14th of April 13th & 14th, 2021.
Wokha DTF Meeting On Covid-19:
Wokha District Task Force on COVID-19 also had a meeting last Friday April 9th, 2021 at DC’s Conference Hall, Wokha. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DTF Wokha, Orenthung Lotha, who stated that the district needs reinforcement screening and registration of people coming to the district from outside the State and to conduct screening and testing for COVID-19 on all shopkeepers and businessmen.
Chief Medical Officer, Wokha, Dr. C.W. Tungoe informed that COVID-19 testing for students pursuing studies outside the State is going on and he appealed the District Administration and Village Council leaders to co-ordinate during surveillance of suspected Covid-19 positive cases.
The Wokha DTF members decided that screening and registration for person entering the district will be done at Tiyi Hall and Rest House will be converted into institutional quarantine, where inmates of quarantine centre are to arrange their own transportation, and COVID care centre at District Hospital will cater to positive cases.
The members also agreed to strictly reinforce the SOPs such as wearing of face mask, social distancing in public places/gathering and hand washing.
