District Level Declamation Contest conducted at St. Xavier College Jalukie, Peren

Peren, October 5 (NE): The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) in collaboration with the Xavierite Youth Care, conducted the District Level Declamation Contest on Friday, October 4, 2019 at St. Xavier College’s Conference Hall. The program was scheduled at 10:00 am but due to some inconvenience it started at 10: 45 am.

Mr. Peheutingyibe Herie of 5th Semester, compered the program. The program started with the invocation prayer by Rev. Father Francis S. Cheerangal, the principal of St. Xavier College which was followed by welcome note from Miss Lelimla of 3rd semester.

Sir S. Singsit, the Program Coordinator NYKS, Peren gave a small talk in which he emphasized more on being a good leader in the near future. He focused on the importance of the NYKS organisation and its impact on the students not only in the educational level as students but as good youth for the near future. He in a special way focused on the NYK function in which he mentioned that the NYK Unit of Peren compared to other units is more vibrant with special attention to the NYKS Club of St. Xavier College. He said the more thrilling it became when he credited the NYKS Unit of St Xavier College for which he said it is through the support of the Xavierites Youth Care which makes his programs successful.
It was followed by the declamation contest where the participants spoke on the theme: SABKA SAATH, SABKA VIKAS, SABKA VISHWAS. TOGETHER WE GROW, TOGETHER WE PROSPER, TOGETHER WE BUILD A STRONG AND INCLUSIVE INDIA.

This was followed by a short break and refreshments were served. In the meantime, the jurist prepared the winner’s list and the winners were declared and prize were distributed by the organisers where Ngaudaile of 5th semester secured first prize while Michael Humtsoe and Gaidinlung Pamei secured the second and third positions respectively.

Altogether 13 students from various institutions and Youth Clubs contested. Consolation prizes along with certificates were given by the Organiser.

The program ended with words of gratitude and encouragement by Nouroudin, the Coordinator of Xavierite Youth Care, NYKS, Jalukie and benediction prayer was said by Sr. Monica. Before the departure a combine photo session was held and a short discussion by the organisers for the upcoming events.
