District Administration Longleng Issue Advisories For Surveillance Of Returnees

Kohima, April 17 (NEx): The District administration of Longleng issued advisories to all villages and ward authorities under Longleng district for surveillance of returnees coming to Longleng district from outside the states.

The advisory said that returnees to Longleng district need to self isolate/home quarantine for a period of 10 days. During the home quarantine period, the returnees will not be allowed to venture outside his/her house. Visitors should be restricted and should practice Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, it said.

It also said that the family of the returnees should not be discriminated in any way including procurement of essential commodities.

The returnees shall be released from home quarantine after 10 days if they do not develop any Covid-19 related symptoms.

In case of cough/fever/difficulty in breathing/lose of sense of smell and taste/conjunctivitis diarrhoea or any other Covid-19 related symptoms, they should immediately report to the authority so that necessary action can be initiated, the advisory said.
