Dimapur, August 27: The must awaited Dimapur Football League (DFL) season two is finally slated to begin from September 3 to September 30 at DDSC stadium, Dimapur.
The total prize money has been put to Rupees Three Lakhs Fifty Thousand to be played by twelve teams.
DFL was started by Naga United FC under the aegis of Dimapur District Football Associatio in the year 2018. It was initiated under the leadership of Shiyeto Wotsa as Convener and the whole league was his brainchild.
First edition was a huge success with eight participants Club.
The defending Champion is P. Vizheto FC. The second edition will comprises of night matches which is first of a kind in Nagaland.
The sole aim of the organiser is to develop talents of young footballer and provide platform to Dimapurian and Nagas in general.
The organiser seek public support to come in big crowd and take football forward as only public cooperation can make the league grow bigger. The organisers also look to make Dimapur football league one of the most sought league not only in Nagaland but entire Northeast India to produce excellent player who will shine in both national and international levels.
