Dimapur, January 23 (NEx): Dimapur Bongs celebrated Parakram Diwas on January 23rd, 2021 to commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose which was held at the Dimapur Bongs office premises.
The program started with Indian National Flag Hoisting which was followed by Garlanding Netaji’s Statue. Neha Ghosh and group presented INA Anthem, while, Patriotic dances and songs were presented to mark the importance of the day. The Sargam band also performed various patriotic numbers to pay a tribute to Netaji. The program was attended by various dignitaries of different Organisations, a release from the Bongs said.
The Advisor of Dimapur Bongs, Ganesh Sharma, who is also the Superintendent of DMC delivered a motivational speech, where he highlighted the contribution of Netaji towards the freedom struggle of India. He urged the youth members and the children to feel proud about their rich culture and expressed happiness and gratitude towards Dimapur Bongs for taking the innitiative and organising the program in a befitting manner.
Meanwhile, the release said that senior member of Dimapur Bongs Mr. Juel Acherjee speaking on the occasion, addressed the school going children and the performers to focus on their goals and to march ahead with positive attitude. He also tried to instill the feeling of patriotism, bravery and social responsibility among the youth members.
A short speech was also delivered by the Dimapur Bongs member Shri Rupam Dasgupta who touched all the points of Netaji’s life briefly. The program was hosted by Mrs. Puja Das Paul and ended with a vote of thanks from Shri Arunangshu Sharma followed by light refreshment, it said.
