Kohima, April 30 (NE): Dy. Chief Minister, Home and Road & Bridges, Y. Patton, who is also Minister In-charge for Wokha district on COVID-19 pandemic, visited Primary Health Centre at Nyiro on Thursday, April 30, 2020, to ascertain the basic requirements.
Dy. CM thanked the public and village council members of Nyiro range for strictly following guidelines to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, said DIPR report.
Upon learning that Nyiro PHC Medical Officer, GNM and Lab technician are performing their duties on contract basis, Patton assured to take up the cases to the Government for early posting of the above mentioned posts.
Patton also informed that black topping of Wokha-Longidang road will commence right after lockdown period is lifted. However, for the benefit of the area people, he also urged that there should not be any land owner issue so that developmental work is not hampered.
Later, Patton, on behalf of the Nagaland State BJP and party workers, donated one fumigation machine which was handed over to Chief Medical Officer, Wokha. He also donated 200 litres of hypochlorite to the district and cash for refreshment for healthcare workers of PHC Chukitong, Nyiro and Englan.
Accompanied by DC, SP & CMO Wokha, along with BJP Wokha Mandal, visited PHC Nyiro at Yanthamo Village to take stock of #COVID19 preparedness. Deputy CM was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Orenthung Lotha, SP Wokha, Imtitoshi and CMO Wokha, Dr. C.W. Tungoe.
