DENSU condemns the inhumane act upon a minor girl at Peraciezie Kohima

Dimapur, March 17 (NEx): Dimapur Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) condemned the inhumane act done upon a minor girl by Mr. Matsunglemba and Mrs Hojeli at Peraciezie Colony, Kohima.

The Union in a condemnation letter stated that such an evil act committed upon a 5 year old girl child is intolerable and beyond one’s imagination and the same should be condemned by all.

DENSU also appealed the district/state law enforcing agency to leave no stone unturned in the process of investigation and also prays to the court of law that the trial be conducted in a fast track manner and award deterrent and befitting punishment to the accused persons.

Further, the union entreats all the citizens to refrain from such vicious and malevolent act which is not only against the law but also against humanity.

As per reports, the minor was from Tikhir community who was tortured by the foster parents at Peraciezie colony, Kohima by keeping the minor on a sack over the fireplace and burning chilli, on March 11th, 2021.

Many organisations including the Peraciezie colony leaders condemned the inhumane act and called for befitting punishment to the foster parents.
