Mokokchung, November 16 (NEx): The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir on Monday, November 16, issued travel advisory in view of the proposed indefinite economic blockade by Karbi Students Association (KSA) from November 17, 2020 onwards.

The DC Mokokchung stated that, in view of the proposed indefinite economic blockade by Karbi Students’ Association from November 17, 2020 and the evolving volatile situation along the Assam Nagaland border at Mariani, all commuters traveling from Mokokchung to different parts of the state are advised to avoid travelling via Assam and take the Wokha- Tseminyu road till the situation improves.

Earlier, the KSA has called for an indefinite economic blockade to Nagaland from November 17, 2020 onwards, to protest against the unabated illegal encroachment of Karbi Anglong (Assam) land by the people of Nagaland with the support of Nagaland Government, claimed KSA.
