The CSOs of Peren stated, ‘It is to be made crystal clear to everyone that there is no area called Aqahuto in the above mentioned areas within the ancestral Zeliang Naga land who shared traditional and time honoured boundary with Chakhro Angami lest the term “Aqahuto” being borrowed from other parts of the state in total disregard to the customs of the traditional landowners Chakhro Angami and the Zeliang.’
‘The CSOs of Peren, heartily pursued and engaged on inter-tribal organisations to bring about permanent trust between communities for peaceful coexistence by bringing about due honour to each other’s customs as Naga family. But sadly, our sincere reciprocation of peaceful coexistence is ditched by throttling the District blocking both the routes of accessibility by such illegal Organizations in the name of Aqahuto within the ancestral land of Zeliang Naga,’ it stated.
Further, the CSOs of Peren said that the Zeliang Naga of Peren District totally oppose such Bandh imposed on the District and sincerely request the State Government authority to avert such illegal activities on the District.
The CSOs also cautioned that it shall not be responsible for any consequences, should any situation arise as a fallout.
