Kohima, April 21 (NEx): The number of COVID-19 positive cases spiked to 97 cases today in Nagaland. The state total tally is at 12,747, an update from Health Minister Pangnyu Phom said.
97 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today.
49 in Dimapur, 46 in Kohima, 1each in Mokokchung & Tuensang.
And, 4 +ve patients have recovered in Phek.

Today, the state detected 97 new positive cases of COVID-19, out of which, 49 cases were detected in Dimapur, 46 in Kohima and 01 each in Mokokchung & Tuensang. 64 cases out of the total cases today were detected from among the traced contacts, 28 among returnees/travellers and 05 among armed forces/security personnel. Active cases stands at 347.
Also, the state recorded 04 recoveries of COVID-19 patients from Phek, taking the total tally in the state to 12,114, updated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today.
As per the severity of symptoms, 314 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 19 active cases are mild, 10 active cases are moderate on oxygen and 02 active case are severe on oxygen.
So far, the State has reported eighty four (84) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and 192 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed the Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
