882 suspected Coronavirus samples collected from Nagaland, Rs. 7.57 cr disbursed to stranded citizens of Nagaland in different parts of the country

Kohima, May 12 (NE): The Principal Secretary, Home, GoN, Abhijit Sinha while briefing on COVID-19 as on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 said that there is no COVID-19 positive case in Nagaland.

While updating on the suspected COVID-19 samples collected for testing, Sinha said that a total of ­­­882 samples were sent for testing from the State, the results of 872 samples have been received and all tested negative. The results for the remaining 10 samples are awaited.

A total of 6532 persons have been screened today from different districts of Nagaland and a total of 86 persons are under Facility Quarantine, Sinha updated.

Covid-19 relief fund assistance:

On the Chief Minister Relief Fund- it was reported that a total of 19464 applicants comprising of 14357 working people, 4933 students and 175 patients have been provided financial assistance in the form of cash grant to persons from Nagaland, stranded or in distress outside the state, due to the Nationwide COVID-19 lockdown. Till date, a total of Rs. 7.57 crores has been disbursed for this purpose, added Sinha.

themselves in nCOVID-19 Nagaland- Visitors App which is available for android users.
