Consumer Rights Organisation (CRO) Nagaland has informed that inspection to check illegal pricing of essential commodities will be carried out in all the districts in collaboration with competent authority of the state on regular basis.
In a release, CRO said that the decision to carry out the exercise was taken during its executive meeting held to discuss the issue of price rise in the market.
CRO has also urged the business community to maintain the prices of essential commodities so that the consumers are not cheated.
The Organisation also informed that it will hold a consultative meeting with the Department of Weights and Measures to urge the department for compulsory implementation of digital weighting scale in the market.
