Compulsory COVID test for those who entered Nagaland after Dec 20

The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland through a circular on Monday directed all persons who came to Nagaland after December 20, 2020, to report to the respective District Task Force (DTF) on COVID-19

Kohima, December 28 (NEx): The Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland through a circular on Monday directed all persons who came to Nagaland after December 20, 2020, to report to the respective District Task Force (DTF) on COVID-19.

The Principal Director, H&FW, Dr Vizolie Z Suokhrie informed that, in view of the emergence of variant strain of COVID-19 from United Kingdom, all person who have come to Nagaland, either Indian or foreign nationals after December 20, 2020, are to report to the respective District Task Force (DTF) on COVID-19 for compulsory testing.’

Any persons arriving to the State from today, December 28, 2020, are to self declare at the point of entry, inform the DTF, and self isolate for necessary standard testing protocols, Suokhrie informed.

Last week, India suspended all flights from the UK from Tuesday midnight (December 22) till December 31 to prevent the new aggressive strain of the COVID-19 from entering the country. The decision to suspend flights was taken, following recommendations from the health ministry’s joint working group.
