Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio along with Minister for health and family welfare S. Pangnyu Phom, Minister for PWD Tongpang Ozukum and advisor for rural development Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, inspected the ongoing development work of the medical college site in Kohima today (June 8).
During the visit, Rio instructed the department to plant more trees in and around the area and also put up retaining walls around the boundary.
He also stressed the importance of constructing a well planned drainage system for the medical college. He urged the consultant and department officials to work overtime and complete the work within the stipulated time period.

The department was instructed to submit a full status report on the progress, achievement and technical hitches before the Niti Ayog meeting which is to be held soon.
