Dimapur, October 27 (NE): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio visited the flood affected areas in Dimapur today, October 27. With continuous rain for the past few days, water level in Dhansiri river Dimapur is rising to dangerous level.
Taking to Twitter CM Neiphiu Rio, said, Incessant rain has caused flooding and landslide across Nagaland. State Disaster & all concerned agencies are working round the clock.
Nagarjan Bridge, Walford Bridge, Naharbari, Sasuvi village are among the visited areas. Chief minister also appeals to all to stay safe and lend a helping hand to those in need.
DDMA Dimapur and SDRF personnels are on high alert.

On Saturday, October 26, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dimapur Kevekha Kevin Zehol, NCS has informed total restriction of all movement from Chathe River Bridge (Patkai Bridge) to New Chümoukedima (Pakala Pahar Bridge) for a period of two days, October 27 and 28, due to heavy landslide.
Therefore, alternative route from Dimapur-Kohima/Kohima-Dimapur for light vehicles only is available via 7th mile-new DC office-Shokhuvi-Razaphe-Mhaikam-Pimla-Mhainamtsai-Jhornapani/Medziphema and vice versa.
