Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio launched the New Campus Site of Mountain View Christian College at Nerhe- Phezha on Tuesday (July 2).

The college would be shifted from its old campus in Keyake (BSF Camp) Kohima to the new campus in Nerhe Phezha. The New Campus of Mountain View Christian College in Nerhe Phezha marks a new beginning for the people under Chiephobozou sub division as it is the first College to be set up in that region.

Chief Minister said he is happy to be part of the event and thanked the members of the Educational Visionary forum for doing such great service to the society. He also mentioned that the location is ideal for studying and hoped that it will be a noted centre of excellence and learning in Nagaland one day.

He further shed light on the issue of unemployment in Nagaland and said that it was alarming to see Nagaland rated as the state with the highest unemployed youths in the country and that it was time for the colleges in Nagaland to train the students to be independent and look for other avenues of earning and tap into the private sector. He also wishes the best for the college and assured the college administration that the Government would readily provide any help possible to ensure the success of the college.

Minister for Higher & Technical Education, Nagaland, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer also graced the occasion as a Guest of honour.
