Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio appoints Medo Yhokha as Advisor to the CM

The Chief Minister, Nagaland has appointed Medo Yokha, Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly as Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nagaland

Kohima, November 25 (NEx): The Chief Minister, Nagaland has appointed Medo Yokha, Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly as Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nagaland, with immediate effect.

Medo Yhokha won the recently held bye-election to 14-Southern Angami-1 constituency with 4773 votes and with a vote share of 41.11% on November 10, 2020 on NDPP ticket.

Yhokha, took the oath of office on November 18, 2020 at 11:00 am which was administered by the Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer.

The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) reported that the arrangement would help utilize the vast and practical experience of the Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly for the benefit of public at large.

The Advisor will render his advise on matters that are referred to them by the concerned Department for their views/suggestions before the issue is put up to the concerned Minister in charge for decision.

Yhokha will not be eligible for any pay, salary, emoluments, remuneration or any perks/advantages of any kind, from the Government of Nagaland other than what is normally admissible to them as members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly through the Assembly Secretariat, it stated.
