KSCDL appeals to all citizens to participate in the ongoing Citizen Perception Survey

Kohima, February 21 (NE): Through a press conference, Kovi Meyase, Chief Executive Officer of Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSCDL) appealed to all citizens of Kohima to participate in the Citizen Perception Survey under Ease of Living Index (EOLI) 2019 on February 20, 2020 at KSCDL Office in Kohima.

The CEO informed that there will be a citizen engagement award for the overall best performaning city (over 5 lakh population cities) where there will be cash award of 3 lakh for first, 2 lakh for second and 1 lakh for third prize. While not only for the prize, the CEO hopes that it will be a big achievement for the city.

He informed that EOLI volunteers are visiting colleges and helping them take the survey and also interacting street vendors,senior citizens and reach each and every citizen in the city through different initiatives. Posters and banners are distributed at different wards, signature campaigns and wall painting competition among the 19 wards under the theme My City My Pride is being held, the CEO informed. He also mentioned that, 30 percent of the survey assessment depend on citizen’s participation. He also informed that based on the percentage, Kohima city is now currently ranked 28th out of 114 cities under the survey.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs will randomly select 1 citizen from each of the 114 cities under survey through computer generated algorithm and choose 3 national winners who will be awarded cash prize of rupees 25000 each.

Kovi said that he also anticipate and expect the citizens to increase their participation in the survey. The survey is open for citizens to send their opinions to the link EoL2019.org/citizenfeedback till 29th of this month.
