CEO declares 8 intending candidates for by-election of two constituencies in Nagaland

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Abhijit Sinha declared the intending candidates for by-election to be held on November 04, 2020, and also stated that the poll will be taken on November 03, 2020

Kohima, October 19 (NEx): The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Shri Abhijit Sinha, IAS declared the intending candidates for by-election to be held on November 04, 2020, and also stated that the poll will be taken on November 03, 2020 (Tuesday) between 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The CEO through a press note stated that at the end of the last date for withdrawal of candidatures, the following contesting candidates are declared for the bye-election to fill the casual vacancies in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from 14-Southern Angami -I (ST) Assembly Constituency and 60- Pungro- Kiphire (ST) Assembly Constituency as mentioned below:

14-Southern Angami-1 (ST) Assembly Constituency:

(i) Kikovi Kirha – Naga People’s Front.

(ii) Medo Yhokha – Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party.

(iii) Seyievilie Peter Zashumo – Independent.

60- Pungro- Kiphire (ST) Assembly Constituency:

(i) Khaseo Anar- Indian National Congress.

(ii) Lirimong Sangtam – Bharatiya Janata Party.

(iii) S. Kiusumew Yimchunger – Independent.

(iv) K. Shellumthong Yimchunger – Independent.

(v) T. Yangseo Sangtam – Independent.
