Kohima, April 08 (NEx): The Cabinet Sub-committee led by Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Y. Patton visited Lamhai Namdi area today, April 8th, 2021, to take stock of the situation and also visited the place where the recent unfortunate killings took place on March 22nd. He was accompanied by colleagues and members of the Cabinet Sub-committee for boundary demarcation between Dimapur and Peren.
During the visit, the Dy. CM met the District Administration and Police of both the districts and was briefed about the situation. In a brief meeting held at Saijang, Patton appealed to the disputing parties to strictly adhere to the Status Quo Order, for an early and amicable solution of the issue.
The Dy. CM said, the incident of March 22 was heinous and should not have happened. He also appealed all to maintain peace and tranquility and hoped that the dispute will be settled soon.
Patton also reaffirmed that anyone found guilty of the crime after the SIT report will be aptly punished.
