Bye-election vote counting underway at two constituencies in Nagaland

Kohima, November 10 (NEx): The Counting of votes for the Bye-Elections to two Assembly Constituencies – 14- Southern Angami-1 and 60- Pungro- Kiphire started at 8:00 am today. Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland Abhijit Sinha IAS informed that two centres have been arranged for the counting of votes for both the constituencies in respective Deputy Commissioner Office complexes in Kohima and Kiphire.

The Election Commission of India informed that apart from the counting centres, the result trends to Bye-elections will be available from 8:00 am, today on the ECI website https://results.eci.gov.in/ and “Voter helpline” Mobile app available at Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

The Results are displayed on the website and updated every few minutes to display the current round wise results of each constituency.

The ECI will be displaying the information as being filled in the system by the Returning Officers from their respective Counting Centers and the same will be displayed in the website / mobile app.

Bye-Elections to 14- Southern Angami-1 and 60- Pungro- Kiphire Assembly Constituencies were held on November 3rd while re-poll was conducted in two polling stations under 60- Pungro- Kiphire on November 7th.

Altogether, eight (8) candidates are in the fray for the two Assembly seats in Nagaland- three for 14-Southern Angami-1 seat and five for 60-Pungro-Kiphire seat.
