BSF anti-human trafficking unit rescued a minor girl forcibly taken from Dimapur

Kohima, January 09 (NEx): The Border Security Force’s (BSF) anti-human trafficking unit on January 05, 2021, rescued a minor girl from a village under Bazarichera police station in Karimganj district of Assam.

According to BSF officials, the girl was forcibly taken from Dimapur, Nagaland and kept at the village. The anti-human trafficking unit of BSF in coordination with Bazarichera police raided the house and rescued the girl. The man who took her forcibly managed to flee the scene.

The girl was handed over to Child Welfare Committee, Karimganj by the local police and will be further handed over to Women Welfare Center, Dimapur, BSF officials informed.
