Peren, November 28 (NEx): A Government recognition programme of Beisumpuiram Village under Ahthibung Sub-Division, Peren District was held on November 27, 2020 with Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, NCS as the Special Guest.
A report from the IA, DPRO Peren said that Beisumpuiram Village was established on May 17, 2006 and was recognised by the Government of Nagaland on October 12, 2017. Former Chief Minister of Nagaland and Present Leader of Opposition, T.R Zeliang during his tenure of Chief Minister of Nagaland (2014 – 2017) declared the recognition of Beisumpuiram village.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier lauded the village leaders for their tireless efforts and initiative from the start till the recognition of the village by the Government of Nagaland and encouraged the villagers to seek God’s blessings in order to move forward towards development and progress.
Aier also mentioned that all round development can be attained only by maintaining peace and tranquility and encouraged the villagers to adopt private entrepreneurship and become self-sufficient instead of depending on Govt. Schemes and Govt. Jobs.
Further, the DC said that, for a village to develop, Health Sector and Education is of major importance, therefore he urged the local people in the village to put more focus on Health Sector and Education System in the village.
In the programme, a memorandum was also submitted by Beisumpuiram Village Councils to Deputy Commissioner of Peren under the subject, “Prayer for granting of privileges and facilities entitled for a recognised village”.
Earlier, Monolith opening programme was held where inauguration of Village Recognition Monolith was done by the DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier while Stone Opening Prayer was pronounced by Local Pastor, Akwabe and the programme was chaired by Deibambe.
Others who spoke in the programme includes; Chairman Old Beisumpui, Urangtalakpe, Ex. Chairman Beisumpuiram, Mbailang, SDO (C) Ahthibung, Alemyapang Longchar, Zeme Council President, Dr. Tumda Newme and ZSU (N) President, Aakam Pame.
