Kohima, January 22 (NEx): Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) handed over Wheel chair to a 110 years old man residing along the remote border village of Wangti region in Mon district of Nagaland on January 19, 2021, in the presence of village authorities.

The PRO HQ IGAR (North) informed that a medical camp was also organised to provide medical support and assistance to the villagers especially the old, handicapped, orphaned people and the women who are unable to go to the hospitals at far distances.

A total of 56 villagers benefitted from the camp where free medicines were provided in addition to educating people on the importance of timely vaccination, personal hygiene and sanitation.

The initiative was welcomed by the village authorities and all the villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the Security Forces for this noble gesture.
