Assam Rifles Provides Hearing Aids, Wheelchairs: Interacts With Ex-servicemen

Kohima, November 09 (NEx): Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) distributed hearing aids and wheel chairs to the physically challenged people of Mokokchung District.

An official press release said that the project was executed under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Program Project and the gesture of goodwill and affection of the Battalion has been greatly appreciated by the residents.

Also, the Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles interacted with Ex-Servicemen at Mokokchung district and briefed about the importance of COVID-19 pandemic and also to keep them updated with the latest policies, various pandemic benefits and Ex-servicemen schemes.

Further, the Kohima Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) carried out an interactive session with Ex-Servicemen and their families where they were updated about the procedure for redressal of grievances.

The Ex-Servicemen and their families were also handed over Medical equipment and hearing aids as per their requirements. A total of 40 Ex-Servicemen and their families participated in the event, said an official press release.
