Assam rifles organises painting competition and inaugurates waiting shed

Assam rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organised a painting competition at Wangti COB on December 02, 2020 and also inaugurated a waiting shed at New Ngaulong village.

Kohima, December 03 (NEx): Assam rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organised a painting competition at Wangti COB on December 02, 2020 and also inaugurated a waiting shed at New Ngaulong village.

Security Forces Organised Painting Competition At Wangti:

A press release from the PRO HQ IGAR (N) said that the Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organised painting competition at Wangti COB on December 02, 2020 in which children of Wangti, Langshai Wangti and New Langshai Wangti villages participated with great enthusiasm.

The event was said to be attended by more than 70 children who participated and explored their talents with canvas and colors. The participants were given gifts to encourage their participation, added the release.

Assam Rifles Inaugurated Waiting Shed At New Ngaulong:

Another press release from the PRO HQ IGAR (N) said that the Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) constructed and dedicated a waiting shed at New Ngaulong village, which has been a long standing requirement of the villagers. The waiting shed will assist villagers of New Ngaulong and commuters in the area.

Further, during the ceremony, a 6 year old girl child by the name Ms. Pouram inaugurated the waiting shed as insisted by the Assam rifles. The PRO also added that the villagers arranged a cultural programme to thank the efforts made by Assam Rifles in providing the much needed assistance to the village.

A large number of villagers, village authorities and members of the Church attended the inauguration ceremony.
