Kohima, June 04 (NE) : The Assam rifles on different occasions assisted the people of Nagaland amidst the pandemic crisis of COVID-19.

Medical Assistance to a Snakebite Victim

Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) provided critical medical assistance to a boy named Miywang, a resident of Monyakshu village in Mon district who endured a snakebite while working in the paddy field. The timely and urgent medical assistance provided by Nursing Assistant at Changlangshu COB averted further criticality.

The parents of the individual and villagers thanked Assam Rifles for providing this critical medical assistance and saving precious life.

Provision of Drinking Water for Quarantine Facility at Medziphema Town

With critical paucity of water in maintaining an 80 bedded quarantine facility set up at the Co-operative Training Centre, Medziphema, Ghaspani Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) assisted the District Administration in providing water on June 02, 2020.

This initiative by the Assam Rifles was appreciated by the administration and residents of Medziphema.
