Assam Rifles Conducts Intensive And Focused COVID-19 Awareness Campaign

Kohima, November 19 (NEx): Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted COVID-19 awareness campaign at Old Tesen village, under Peren District on November 18, 2020.

A press release from the PRO HQ IGAR (N) said that the villagers were briefed about symptoms of COVID-19 and measures to avoid the infection. They were urged to use masks and sanitisers and not to put down their gaurd against the pandemic. Also, Basic medical check- up was conducted for the people present.

The process of online registration in Sainik school, Punglwa was also imparted. A total of 48 villagers attended the event, the PRO informed.

Meanwhile, Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles also conducted a COVID-19 awareness campaign at Govt Primary School, Ndunglwa in Peren District on November 17, 2020.

A press release from the PRO said that Assam Rifles distributed face masks and sanitizers to villagers and briefed them about various health and hygiene precautions to be taken during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were also informed about admission process in Sainik School Punglwa.

A total of 26 villagers attended the awareness camp including 13 students, six teachers and 07 children, the press release said.
