Dimapur, September 30 (NEx): As part of the ongoing crackdown to prevent illegal activities in Nagaland, Security Forces busted Illegal Bottling plant in general area 5th Mile, Dimapur on September 28, 2020, and apprehended one individual.
Assam Rifles, PRO, HQ IGAR (N) in a press release said that Security Forces alongwith Police representative launched an operation based on specific intelligence regarding illegal activities in general area 5th Mile, Dimapur, and busted an illegal bottling plant.
One individual was apprehended from the site. Forces also recovered 65 cases of Rum and 9000 empty bottles of Rum amounting to Rs 3.35/- Lakh approximately, it informed.
The plant was used for adulterating Indian Made Foreign Liquor before distributing illegally to the local population. The individual along with recovered items was handed over to Diphupar Police Station, said the press release.
