Peren, January 11 (NEx): The Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (N) stretched out in aid to public by helping them in revitalising the roads in the Peren Town on January 5th, 2021.

The PRO, HQ IGAR (N) informed that the Assam Rifle troops helped the public with necessary equipments and manpower in repairing the roads which were in dilapidated state leading to inconveniences to the public.

The stretch of road infront of All Saints Higher Secondary School was maintained by the combined efforts of security forces and the locals. The villagers came forward in acknowledging the noble cause and thanked the forces for this selfless service, said the PRO.

Assam Rifles Conducted Medical Camp at Jalukieram:

Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) helped the local populace by medical camp at Jalukieram on January 5th, 2021.

The PRO said that the troops on the advent of new year moved forward to greet the children and people by
providing medical assistance. The poor network connectivity and COVID situation had affected the health index of the villagers.

A total of 57 villagers including 23 male, 27 female and 07 children benefited from the medical camp. The village authorities acknowledged the efforts and thanked the Security forces for their selfless service, PRO informed.

Assam Rifles Conducted COVID-19 Campaign:

The Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted COVID-19 campaign at Huenambe village on January 8th, 2021.

The PRO HQ IGAR (N) said that the campaign focused on the current rising levels of COVID-19 cases in the country and state. The villagers were urged to use mask and sanitizers and not to put down their guard against the pandemic.

The villagers were informed about symptoms of COVID-19 and measures required to be adhered to avoid the infection. They were also informed about the upcoming nation wide vaccination programme and basic medical check up of the people was also conducted, updated the PRO.

A total of 30 villagers attended the event. The villagers acknowledged the efforts and thanked the Security forces for their selfless service, the PRO said.
