Kohima, February 02 (NE): Atoizu Area range Students’ Union (ARSU) led by its President, Aketovi Assumi carried out a surprise physical inspection on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the going construction of renovation works at Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu for National Board of Accreditation process to ensure quality workmanship and made queries of detailed project and fund allocation to ensure that funds are judiciously utilised for the said project.
On the inspection, ARSU was accompanied by the Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu students union President and inspected all the construction sites at KPA institution. The inspection team interacted with the contractors, lecturers and land owners present during the inspection, a press release by the ARSU said.
ARSU has also asked the contractors to employ more manual-labours for early completion and ensure quality workmanship. The union has also stated that it would not compromise any poor workmanship by any contractors and would initiate any action deem fit if the works are not carried out as per the specifications of the work order, stated the release.
Further, the union also extended appreciation to Shri Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Higher and Technical Education and Tribal Affairs for his commitment for upgradation of Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu into a full fledged Degree Engineering College and also department of Higher and Technical education for necessary inspection. ARSU also assures full cooperation with the department and contractors for smooth functioning of affairs at KPA.
