Army Commander EC calls on Governor of Nagaland – Discussed security issues in Nagaland

Kohima, January 9 (NE): Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan, Army Commander, Eastern Command along with General Officer Commanding Spear Corps and IG Assam Rifles called upon the Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland Shri R N Ravi at Raj Bhavan, Kohima on Thursday, January 9, 2020.

The General Officer discussed security issues and apprised the Hon’ble Governor of the action being under taken by the Indian Army and Assam Rifles in coordination with civil agencies in maintenance of peace & tranquility in the state and along the Indo-Myanmar Border. The Hon’ble Governor accredited the indefatigable efforts of the armed forces in arduous conditions and complimented them for their people friendly initiatives, stated in a notification from Eastern Command Indian Army.

Later in the day, the Army Commander, Eastern Command also interacted with Lt Gen Shokin Chauhan (Retired), Chairman CFMG in Kohima and discussed the security issues in Nagaland.
