Kohima, May 16 (NE): Online application for One-time Assistance of Rs 10,000 to the stranded citizens outside Nagaland who have submitted ‘returnee form’ and opt to stay back where they are at present, will close today at 07:00 pm.
As notified by the Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha IAS, a total of 18,255 stranded citizens in different parts of the country desiring to return to the State have submitted ‘returnee form’ within 72 hours from May 08 to May 11, 2020.
Nagaland Government has decided to give Rs 10,000 which is One-time Financial Assistance to the returnee form applicants who voluntarily opt to stay back at their present places.
As on Friday, May 15, 2020, 04:30 pm, a total of 2,668 citizens of Nagaland presently outside the State, have voluntarily opted for staying back at their present places, and have filled up the required form for availing the One-time Assistance for Rs 10,000 (ten thousand), said Sinha.
The application to avail One-Time Financial Assistance of Rs 10,000 was opened on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, 07:00 pm.
Returnee form applicants can avail this One-Time Assistance by visiting the https://iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in portal and fill up the form.
The documents required to submit this application are: valid Aadhaar, valid bank passbook, Indigenous Inhabitant certificate or birth certificate issued by the Government of Nagaland.
The Government also assured that all efforts will be made to process the application for one time grant within 72 Hrs (Seventy Two hours) on Bank working days only.
It further notified that Incorrect / Invalid Bank Account Numbers or IFSC will be summarily rejected.
