‘Anti Drugs Squad’ Noklak Police Arrested Two Persons

Kohima, February 01 (NEx): Noklak police “Anti Drugs Squad” arrested two persons and seized 600 tablets of .5mg alprazolam while conducting regular raids and checking on January 31st, 2021.

A case has been registered u/s 22b Narcotic drugs and psychotropic act and sec 34 IPC.

Meanwhile, the arrested individuals and seized drugs were forwarded to judicial custody of JMFC Tuensang, a notification from Noklak Police said.

Noklak being a border district faces problem of drugs abuse amongst the youth. Hence, ‘Anti drugs squad’ was formed by SP Noklak with the motto ‘War Against Drugs Abuse’ at Noklak Police unit for regular checking and raids.

During one such raid and checking, last night, the Noklak anti-drugs squad caught two persons and seized 600 tablets of .5 mg Alprazolam drugs, SP Noklak Dr. Pritpal Kaur informed.

She also added that these raids will continue in regular intervals along with spreading awareness amongst the youth against drugs abuse to make them more empowered towards good careers and future.
