ANCSU threatens to undertake indefinite hunger strike from today

Nagaland, June 3: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union, ANCSU has decided to undertake indefinite hunger strike from today if its demands on issues related to students in the state are not fulfilled.

In a letter to the State Chief Minister, Nephiu Rio, ANCSU reiterated its demand for immediate resignation of the Director of Technical Education, Nagaland and action against those officials involved in the alleged misappropriation of State Technical Scholarship funds amounting to 1.32 crore rupees.

Its other demands include immediate action on opening of Nodal Cell to implement all kinds of scholarship schemes, settlement of land encroachment issue in government colleges and institutions, recruitment of 110 Assistant Professor sanctioned posts through NPSC, and investigation into scholarship schemes implemented in Nagaland funded by both state and central governments.
