ANCSU serves one month ultimatum for requisition of 5 posts to NPSC & Nodal Cell for scholarships

Kohima, March 16 (NEx): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) served a 30 days ultimatum to the department of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Nagaland demanding the requisition of remaining 5 (Five) Assistant Professors post to NPSC and a Nodal Cell for all Scholarship Schemes.

ANCSU in its letter to the Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Government of Nagaland, on Monday said that in reference to the Ultimatum dated 21/02/2020 and Reminder letter dated 26/08/2020, it called the attention of the authority for immediate implementation and address the matters listed on priority.

While the ANCSU appreciated the department of Higher Education for requisition of 105 Assistant Professors & Librarian post to NPSC and being advertised by the NPSC subsequently, the union said that it is displeased on the lackadaisical approach on the remaining 5 (Five) Assistant Professors post for College of Teachers Education which was withheld for conversion/review/exchange.

The ANCSU also expressed dismay by the department’s inaction towards the Nodal Cell which was notified for establishment on October 25th, 2019 and students awaits to see the functioning of Nodal Cell.

The Union stated that although a common scholarship portal was introduced, the department has not implemented the nodal cell till date.

The Union therefore, demanded the department for requisition of the remaining post (5 posts) to NPSC and a Nodal cell to be made functional within a period of one-month with effect from March 15th, 2021.
