ANCSU protesters chased and leaders held by the Kohima Police this morning.
Kohima, June 4: ANCSU leaders and officials held by the Nagaland police have been released.
Various people of Nagaland took social media to express their concerns over the actions taken against the protesters.
The #ISupportANCSU and #ReleaseANCSULeaders were ‘trending’ on Twitter in the afternoon.
The incident took place at Kohima, this morning (June 4) Mr. Katho P Awomi, the President of ANCSU (All Nagaland College Students Union) who is on Hunger Strike along with other officials for the Students Scholarship Scheme, has been held by the Kohima Police.
Police also used water cannon to chase the protesters. It was informed that since permission for hunger strike was not granted, other ‘measures ‘ were adopted evict the students
