The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Friday, implored the state government not to bow down to short sighted irrational and unethical demands which would vanquish the very purpose of Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB)

Kohima, December 04 (NEx): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Friday, implored the state government not to bow down to short sighted irrational and unethical demands which would vanquish the very purpose of Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) and outrightly vowed that it will object and encounter any element that obstructs the rational implementation of NSSB.

ANCSU through a press release, acknowledged the setting up of Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) which would go a long way in affirming fair competition. ‘As no civilization is forbidden to enhance one’s academic knowledge and experiences, through educational institutions or otherwise, it must be the endeavour of all to avoid illogical demand(s) that demeans the efficiency of a qualified aspirant’, it said.

The Union while expressing gratefulness to the present-day government for setting up the NSSB, asserted that no doubt certain section of our society needs special attention, but the union cannot be quiescent when the structure of meritocracy and fair competition is to be overshadowed taking such advantages, it added.

Further, the Union implored the state government to apply good sense of judgement impartially and rationally
that benefits the Naga society as a whole and not to bow down to short sighted irrational and unethical demands which would vanquish the very purpose of NSSB.
