ANCSU appeals state govt to immediately intervene for online conduct of NU Undergraduate Exam

Kohima, January 06 (NEx): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) in it’s letter to the Chief Secretary beseeched the state government for immediate intervention in regard to the Odd Semester Examination (1st, 3rd & 5th) for undergraduate students under Nagaland University(NU) which is scheduled to commence from January 18, 2021.

The Union in a press release said that the Nagaland University has declared the Examination Schedule for Three Year Degree Course in BA/B.SC/B.COM/BBA/BCA on December 10, 2020, to be conducted OFFLINE/ONLINE; However, with less than a fortnight away from the commencement of exam, the Nagaland University is yet to inform the students as to whether the exam is to be conducted offline or online. This in return has kept the concerned students disquietude, it said.

ANCSU recalls its representation to the Nagaland University on November 10, 2020 and to the Chief secretary, Nagaland whereby the union has recommended for online mode of examination considering the situation remains inconducive.

Further, the Union said that calling for offline mode of examination in the eleventh hour would only cause more hazard to the colleges’ fraternity.

The Union, assessing the present situation, implored the state government to immediately intervene and advice the NU to conduct the aforesaid exams through online mode with the scheduled exam routine.
