Kohima, September 28 (NEx): The All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) appealed the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) to comprehend the urgent need of teaching faculty in various government colleges and conduct the exam for the 110 Assistant Professor / Librarian at one go without further delay.
The union in a letter written to Temjen Imna Along, Hon’ble Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Tribal Affairs, GoN, on September 28, 2020, acknowledged the State Government and the Department of Higher Education for positively responding to the popular demand of the Union for requisition of 110 Assistant Professors / Librarians post to the NPSC.
The letter reads, ’68 posts were created for the year 2018 – 2019 and 42 posts for the year 2019 – 2020 as per the Cabinet Secretariat’s office memorandum on July 05, 2018, the same could not be requisitioned to NPSC for advertisement as created’.
However, having learnt that 63 posts have already been requisitioned to NPSC on July 09, 2019, and subsequently advertised by the NPSC on November 13, 2019, and 5 Assistant Professor posts created for colleges of teachers education been proposed for conversion / review / exchange, the Union acknowledged the written assurance given to the office of ANCSU on September 09, 2020, that the said 5 posts shall be requisitioned to NPSC after necessary clearance from the P & AR department’.
It also mentioned that the remaining 42 posts has been requisitioned to NPSC on March 9, 2020, for advertisement, the Union acknowledged the present day government for paying sincere ears to the voice of the students’ community.
