ANCSU appeals for waiver of fees for government colleges

Kohima, June 11 (NE): All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) in a letter to the Director, Higher Education Department, on June 10, 2020, appealed to waive off possible fees in all government colleges.

Mentioning about the economic crisis of the state due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Union said that many students, parents and guardians are facing financial constraints for reasons best known to us.

The Union also apprised that many private colleges have come forward by waiving complete admission fees, partial fees and allowing students to pay admission fees on installment basis.

The ANCSU requested the director of higher education department to take serious note of the underlying grievances and waive possible fees in all government colleges, for which the union on May 19, 2020, apprised the department about the financial problems faced by the students’ community and requested the department to waive off possible fees in all the government colleges.
