Alobo Naga extends support to farmers’ protest

Kohima, February 06 (NEx): Alobo Naga, an award-winning musician from Nagaland expressed his support for Indian farmers who have been protesting against the Centre’s new farm laws.

Taking to twitter, Alobo said, ‘I genuinely support the #FarmerProtest in India. ‘Dear Government, Handle and tackle it wisely, whether it’s good or bad – they are all your children. Stop this step mother treatment’.

Protests by farmers against the Farm bills have continued unabated in several states of the country, including various borders of the national capital, New Delhi since November 26, 2020.

Following his tweet, some netizens have even taken the screen shot of the tweet and made it viral saying Alobo is insulting step mothers. Alobo has tweeted again today to clear the air on the term ‘step-mother’ treatment.

Main netizens and bloggers from Nagaland have extended their support to the protesting farmers and welcomed the tweet from Alobo Naga.

Tweet from international celebrities, including American pop star Rihanna, extending support to protesting farmers in India, has kick started a heated up discussion in various social media platforms even in Nagaland.
