Allegations of fund diversion, missing ACs, lack of manpower and equipment at District Hospital Mon
Konyak frontal organizations headed by the Konyak Union (KU), Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK) and Konyak Student’s Union (KSU) have decided to oppose the inauguration of the District Hospital Mon (DHM) scheduled on June 27, stating that the hospital is “incomplete.”
A press note from the organization alleged that in-spite of investing huge amount of money amounting to 21.26 crore rupees, under the National Health Mission, the building structures and architect is not patient friendly.
It stated that many constructions and supply works were not done as per the actual Detail Project Report and the continuous pleas of the Hospital Management Committee to the concern agency has been turned down.
It further said that the joint Konyak Frontal Organisation had submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Nagaland and a copy was sent to the Prime Minister’s Office.
In the memorandum, the Organization has mentioned eight points, such insufficient man power, diversion of funds and inadequate Diagnostic facilities and equipments.
The All Konyak Frontal Organisation stated that if the grievances were not addressed immediately, the inaugural programme of the District Hospital cannot go ahead and the Konyaks will be compelled to field Public Interest Litigation for justice.
