Kohima, December 08 (NEx): Newly constructed Deputy Commissioner’s Bungalow at Kiphire was inaugurated by Advisor, NSDMA & CAWD, Kazheto Kinimi on December 08, 2020. The Advisor said that it is a Christmas gift from the State Government for the people of Kiphire.
The advisor mentioned that the CAWD department has constructed the DC’s Bungalow, however, the building has now become a public property of the entire Kiphire District, so the upkeep of the building is in the hands of public of Kiphire and the concern DC. He also thanked the State Government led by Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister for providing the fund and the Contractor for timely completion of the building.
Executive Engineer, CAWD Er. Sungtiba Amer in his technical report said that the building was conceptualized during 2014-2015. The estimated cost of the building was 360 lakhs and the stipulated time of completion was 24 months.
Commissioner Nagaland, Rovilatuo Mor, IAS in his short speech expressed his appreciation to the Advisor for giving his priority in completing the half done DC’s Bungalow in the four Districts. He appealed to Minister V. Kashiho Sangtam, newly Elected MLA and the people of Kiphire District as well that the DC’s Bungalow and DC Office represents the District, and reflects the image of the District in so many ways. He urged the public to continue to uphold, sustain and to maintain the image and dignity of the DC’s Bungalow and Office in the interest of the whole District. He opined that with the new DC and DC’s Bungalow, Kiphire District will move forward with all the blessings.
Short Speeches were also delivered by V.Kashiho Sangtam Minister and T.Yangseo Sangtam MLA, Pungro- Kiphire. At the outset, V Kashiho Sangtam thanked the Advisor Kinimi, and the Contractor for completing the building at the right time for the people of Kiphire. He also urged them to look into the matter of the residence of heads of office quarters in Pungro and ADC Seyochung, as many Offices and quarters are in deplorable conditions.
Meanwhile, the programme was chaired by Chumbenthung Merry, EAC Kiphire, dedicatory prayer by Dr. Apise and vote of thanks was done by James T.Khulu SDO (C) Kiphire and welcome address by DC Kiphire, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS.
