Active cases in Nagaland crosses 4000 mark with 241 new cases on May 16th

Kohima, May 16 (NEx): Nagaland reported 241 COVID-19 positive cases on Sunday, May 16th, 2021 in Nagaland, taking the total tally to 18,076 and active cases rose to 4100, an update from the Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.

Out of 241 new COVID-19 positive cases reported, 103 cases were detected in Kohima, 102 in Dimapur, 14 in Mokokchung, 10 in Longleng, 05 in Zunheboto, 03 in Phek and 01 each in Mon, Kiphire, Tuensang, Peren, Pangnyu said.

Also, the state recorded 108 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, taking the total recovery tally in the state to 13,195. Out of the 108 recoveries, 58 patients recovered from Dimapur, 36 from Kohima, 06 from Mon, 04 from Longleng, 03 from Phek and 01 from Mokokchung, the Health Minister updated.

The state also reported 13 deaths due to COVID-19 on Sunday, taking the death toll to 198, the Health Minister informed.
