Act of Kindness concludes its Magnum Opus VI, a virtual Art & Music Festival

Dimapur, October 26 (NEx): Act of Kindness (AoK) Society concluded its Magnum Opus VI, a virtual Art & Music Festival 2020 by going Live on its Facebook and Instagram pages to announce the results on October 25, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

Amidst the global pandemic, Aok society organized the sixth edition of its Arts & Music Festival, ‘Magnum Opus’ virtually with an aim to honour, promote and provide a platform for artists to express their talents.

Act of Kindness Society began its Art and Music Festival- ‘Magnum Opus’ in 2015 to commemorate International Artist Day on October 25th, with an aim to honour, promote and provide Artists with ample avenue to create a change and allow Citizens to Live without Fear, uplifting them to dream and work towards their inner strength, and encouraging Freedom of Expression.

A total of 48 participants registered for Short Story Writing Competition, out of which 47 submitted their works on time.

Winners for Short Story Writing Competition are as follows:

1st: Renu Thapa for the story titled- Kai, My Child (Rs 5,000)
2nd: Rite-u Tsuhah Mero for the story titled- The Old Factory (Rs 2000)

The two (2) Consolation Winners are:

Moali Pongen for the story titled- A Cup of Tea
Longjenthi Longkumer for the story titled- A City of Stories

A total of 51 participants registered for Art Illustrated Short Story & Painting Competition. Out of which 26 Submitted works on time for Painting Competition and 11 for Art Illustrated Short Story Competition.

Art Illustrated Short Story Competition Winners:

1st – Mannyei Phom (Rs 8,000)
2nd – Yanpothung Y Shitio (Rs 4,000)

Painting Competition
1st – Joyce Ao (Titled- “Anxiety Attack”), Rs 10,000
2nd – Chichanbeni Kithan ( Titled- “To Belong”), Rs 5,000

Original Song Competition:

A total of 24 Participants registered and the winner is Chubatemsu Kichu, who won Rs 10,000 packed with Audio & Video Recording Contract. The winner will be directly nominated for the Music Awards of Nagaland 2021, the society said.

Photography Competition Winner:

1st – Keyi Putlang (Rs 5000)
2nd – Imchanungla Kichu (Rs 3000)

Cosplay Competition Winner:

Best Cosplayer: Reuben Z Hnamte cosplayed as Robin (Rs 10,000)

Best Performer: Rebecca Tep cosplayed as Gothic Lolita (Rs 5,000)

Best Innovative/ Creative Character (Male): Malhav Yadav cosplayed as Naomasa (Gift Hamper worth Rs 5,000)

Best Innovative/ Creative Character (Female): Shima Angom cosplayed as Nico Yazawa (Gift Hamper worth Rs 5,000)

Consolation Winners:

*Gary Syiem cosplayed as Deathstroke
*Sumit Tamang cosplayed as Katana
*Lokman cosplayed as Granger
