Achumbemo Kikon is the new Secretary General of NPF

Dimapur, January 24 (NE): The opposition party of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the Naga People’s Front (NPF) has appointed, Shri Achumbemo Kikon as the new Secretary General for NPF party.
According to an order issued by Karuzakie Kelio, Vice President (Adm), NPF said that due to vacancy of the important post, it has been necessitated to fill up the vacancy.

Earlier, Nagaland Rajya Sabha MP KG Kenye tendered his resignation from NPF Secretary General post on December 20, 2019, a day after party’s Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) issued a show cause notice for voting in favor of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in Parliament. Ever since the NPF Secretary General post was lying vacant.

The appointment shall be reviewed before the next general election of the state if found necessary. The appointed office bearer is cautioned to maintain discipline during the appointed period, the official notification maintained.

Meanwhile, Shri Achumbemo held various important posts before being assigned the current position in NPF party.
